Hike the Four-Mile Arch in Buena Vista, CO

Arches aren’t just for Utah.  Less than ten miles from Downtown Buena Vista, Four-mile arch stretches skyward.  It’s not four-miles high of course, it’s just tucked back deep in the four-mile management area, a local mecca for hiking, biking, and four-wheeling.  The Arch is tucked back down some interesting roads.  Interesting meaning, you will need a high clearance 4WD vehicle to get to the trailhead.  Grab a copy of the four-mile road and trail map from our friends at GARNA and look for the Arch off of County Road 311 near Davis Meadow.  Finding the unmarked trailhead can be a challenge but, if you keep your eyes peeled, you should be able to see the Arch from the road a ways off and zero in.  Good luck and happy arch-ing!
